Getting Involved:

You can help us in lots of ways!

As a volunteer you can take part in the range of special events during the year, with lots of opportunity for dressing up and improved acting. Our visitors love seeing our volunteers in costume, taking the role of a character from the time of Robert Burns. You don’t have to dress up though, because there a lots of other things that need to be done!

During the summer holidays (July-September) volunteers run traditional craft activities to involve families and children in workshops. These include:  Ink making, bannock making, fabric dyeing and weaving and rug making (this activity takes place every Monday afternoon throughout the year).  Every year we run new activities. Please contact us for more information.

We are always looking for more volunteers to run the Monument Garden Shop. Full training is given, and it’s a lovely place to spend some time.

To find out more  please contact the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum

or leave us a message on our website.
