Become a Part of the History of Burns Cottage

The first recorded Burns Supper was held in Burns Cottage in 1801 when nine gentlemen met in memory of Robert Burns. They continued to meet there annually until 1809 before moving the Supper to a bigger venue, The Kings Arms Hotel in Ayr.

The Friends of Robert Burns Birthplace Museum brought the Supper back to Burns Cottage on 25 January 2016 and it has been held there annually since then. We consider this to be the world’s foremost Burns Supper, held in the birthplace on the anniversary of the birth.

Our next Supper will be on 25 January 2022 and due to a cancellation, through illness, we now have 3 tickets available. The tickets cost £250 each and all proceeds from the event are donated to the National Trust for Scotland for The Robert Burns Birthplace Museum related projects at Alloway.

As in 1801, the names of all artists and guests will appear on the programme a copy of which will be placed in the Museum archives to become part of the history of the Cottage.

Please contact Mr Hugh Farrell for tickets and more information.
